| Objectives |
The goal of the NCFCA O-Line Camp is to assist in the development of both coaches and players. We believe this program will be of significant benefit to all participants and is necessary to improve our sport. The final session of the camp will see integration with the O-Line and D-Line camp with participants from the QB camp. If you require additional info, please contact any of the personnel identified below.
The O-Line Camp will be conducted in conjunction with members of the D-Line Camp, but shall have separate instructors. |
| Details |
The purpose of the O-Line Clinic is two-fold. The first aim of the course is to work with O-Line coaches. Each skill taught will be explained with reasons as to why we believe it is the preferred technique, the proper progression to teach the skill, and common mistakes to look for.
The first session will be coaches only, allowing the coaches time to perfect their skills before moving on to coaching the players.
Specifically the camp will focus on:
- Stance Mechanics,
- Take offs and usage of cadence,
- Mastering leverage throughout the movement,
- Proper run blocking fundamentals, both upper and lower body,
- Proper pass protection fundamentals, both upper and lower body,
- Understanding how these skill fit into offensive schematics, and when to use which skills.
Each coach will be given the opportunity to teach their players the mastery of these skills, in a small group setting.
Each player will have ample opportunity to learn the skills, and be coached with an advantageous coach to player ratio. |
